So Nice to Meet You!
My name is Edie Erickson and I am the third grade teacher at St. Francis de Sales School in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. My husband and I moved from Michigan to Orangeburg, South Carolina in the summer of 2008 after completing our undergraduate work to teach at the Orangeburg 4 school district. In 2011, we gave up our jobs and headed back to our home town. We are so happy to be back with family and friends (and we don't miss the heat either!) Upon coming home, we were both blessed with teaching jobs at the same school! Most exciting is that we welcomed our first child, a perfect little girl, in November 2013.
As far as my credentials go, I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a focus in social studies from Baker College of Owosso. I graduated Summa Cum Laude, and was listed as one of only six students from my graduating class in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. I also hold a masters degree in educational technology, earned through Michigan State University. I completed the program in the summer of 2014 with a 4.0 gpa. In addition, I am an active member of the Discovery Educator Network and am proud to be part of the DEN Leadership Council.
